You can program an extension PIN (personal identification number) on your telephone extension to prevent others from accessing certain features on your phone or restrict them from using your phone altogether (NOTE: emergency phone numbers, such as 911, can still be dialed from a locked extension).

The following features will require a PIN once it is programmed on your extension:
	Live Call Screening (LCS)
	Personal speed dial directory and call log view
	Preventing others from using your phone
	Keeping your extension settings when moving phones

 

To assign a PIN to your extension:

Press INTERCOM

Press

Press

Enter in your desired PIN (min. 4 digits; max. 10 digits)

Press

Enter in the same PIN again

Press again

Wait for the confirmation tone, pick up and hang up the handset.

To remove the PIN from your extension:

Press INTERCOM

Press

Press

Enter in the stored PIN

Wait for the confirmation tone, pick up and hang up the handset.

To prevent other people from seeing your personal directory and call log on your phone:

Press PROGRAM

Press

Press ENTER

Enter in the extension PIN

Press to unlock -OR- Press to lock

Press AUTO DIAL/STORE

Wait for the confirmation tone, pick up and hang up the handset.

To prevent other people from using your phone:

Press PROGRAM

Press

Press ENTER

Enter in the extension PIN

Press to unlock -OR- Press to lock

Press AUTO DIAL/STORE

Wait for the confirmation tone, pick up and hang up the handset.
