There are a number of ways the telephone system can signal you that you have another call waiting (seperate from a telephone company's call waiting services) when you are busy handling a phone call.

 

You can choose how additional calls arrive at your phone while you are busy handling a call:

Press INTERCOM

Press

Press to have your phone ring once and flash continuously -OR- Press to have your ring continuously for additional calls

Wait for the confirmation tone, pick up and hang up the handset.

You can choose how you can receive calls from within the office/home while you are busy handling a call:
Press INTERCOM
Press
To choose to receive no tones or notifications	Press
To receive call waiting tone	Press
To receive OHCA*	Press
To receive Whisper OHCA**	Press
Wait for the confirmation tone, pick up and hang up the handset.

* = This feature is known as Off-hook Call Announcement. If another extension user tries to ring your busy extension, he/she can press 1 to speak to you through your speakerphone. OHCA is only available with certain digital propietary telephones. For further details, contact us via telephone or E-mail.

** = If another extension user tries to ring your busy extension, he/she can press 1 to speak to you through your handset. However, he/she will be unable to hear you or the party you're in conversation with
